Lex Rütten and Jana Kerima Stolzer have been working together as an artistic duo for 4 years. The starting point of their multimedia installations and performances is often shaped by the intertwining of the human being with its technological environment and the narratives and emotional challenges that arise from this. In the past, the duo realised projects both in the independent theatre scene and in exhibition contexts.

The duo was part of the fellowship program of the Academy for Theatre and Digitality (Akademie für Theater und Digitalität) in Dortmund between the months of September 2020 and January 2021. Within this fellowship they worked on their project ''Pawāaraibu – filling the vacuum''.

''In several episodes, Pawāaraibu - filling the vacuum tells the story of an artificial intelligence that travels in the body of a small drone as one of the last living beings on the post-human earth. We constantly experience the environment through its eyes, within its own language it conveys thoughts and impressions. The earth is shown as a conglomerate of nature, remnants of human intervention and up to now modern technology that takes care of maintenance.''
