Behind the title Strom [Electricity] is a puppet theatre robot story for children from six years of age written by the freelance puppeteer and puppet maker Yvonne Dicketmüller. She founded the RoboTheater while creating this play:
The robots are living an isolated life in a highly technological and artificial world. Colourful flashing LEDs, the latest, fashionable gadgets and electronic pets determine their daily lives. The young robot (see photograph) lives a carefree life with his dearly beloved hexbug Bello, an electronic albino cockroach, until one day Bello absconds – and shortly afterwards there is a power cut. As the situation becomes desperate, Adam thinks he gets an SOS signal from Bello and embarks on a journey into mother nature.
