From the 10th to the 14th of October, the festival BLAUES RAUSCHEN will be bringing electronic sound experiments to the stages of the Ruhrgebiet for the second time. In Gelsenkirchen, Essen, Herne, Dortmund and Bochum, BLAUES RAUSCHEN  presents an international mix of established names and new discoveries from eight countries. The sound artists move between electronica, post-rock, machine folk and field recording. ''BLAUES RAUSCHEN is exploring in the post-digital sound space, using various analogue and digital means, to what extent social upheavals, technical innovations and artistic and political processes can influence and influence each other,'' say artistic directors Karl-Heinz Blomann and Eckart Waage, who could already celebrate successes with the festival open systems.

The line-up can really be heard: from Amnesia Scanner or Lorenzo Senni  to Lucrecia Dalt , Kai Niggemann  or Perforator to Ryoko Akama  or Graham Dunning  - the five evenings of the festival feed on an arsenal of highly diverse, experimental sound artists *Inside. The starting gun will be fired this year in Gelsenkirchen with BLOORT , the Homewreckers  and Guy Dermosessian  - the Kunstmuseum Gelsenkirchen  here allows entry to the first day of the festival to be free.
