!F Lab - the Interactive Factual Lab - helps creative minds to produce and develop their digital interactive factual stories. We enable talented creative minds to tell impactful stories using digital technology. Since the very first edition of !F Lab in 2015, we have been focused on offering a stimulating space to experiment, to work transdisciplinary and transsectoral, to generate know-how and to let a professional network expand. The result has been a vast array of stories from Europe, always documenting ‘the real’ and always activating the audience in the narrative, such as an i-doc about Latvian refugees or a VR experience about autism.

“Crossing” is an art-travel project on the subject of crossing borders which includes documentary interviews with international artists. It is the aim of the project to show that cultural life/survive can be redefined and made possible through exchange rather than demarcation. The basic question of this artistic research proceeds from this Archimedean point, therefore: How can we achieve a fundamental connection between human and nature as expressed, for example, in the view of the relationship between the microcosm and the macrocosm? How can we strengthen this connection through art? Places of exchange/interviews: Iceland, Finland, Egypt, South Africa, Argentina, Italy, Thailand.

It was designed to engage and mobilize citizens to demand information from institutions and public representatives via social media. We did this by utilizing channels already available in an innovative way to push forward a meaningful cause that would directly contribute to citizens’ well-being and would increase institutional transparency and accountability. Around 170,000 people watched the video sung by a famous hip-hop artist in Kosovo, a song full of questions, with a great demand for answers. More than 500 people asked governmental representatives specific questions on critical matters that are vital to their lives. Today, citizens still choose the #podumedite (#Iwanttoknow) to demand answers and to end the obscurity surrounding many important issues in Kosovo.

Artes à Vila is a new music and arts festival located at vila da Batalha. The concept of this festival is to promote the cultural heritage and alternative music outside mainstream show business. 3 stages, 17 concerts, 2 exhibitions and 4 workshops.

At home - open workshop for music in the refugee home Adlerstr., Dortmund, in the period from October 2015 to January 2016 on behalf of the Landesmusikrat NRW. The intention was to create a musical "castle in the air", that means, to play integrative free music with refugees. This music should restore their energy and serve as a resource. Free Music was black music, which mingles in Europe with classics and new music. In the center of the workshop were the drums and the viola/violins. On one hand, music could be a universal language, on the other hand it is the "healing force of the universe" (Albert Ayler).

The name of the project is "Automotive Perception/Ray Blaster 2". It’s a standalone computer program which uses synthetic means for creating individual audio-signatures like sounds, noises, textures and melodies/compositions for most of the existing and future upcoming automotive developments, belonging to the urban living situation where people get connected, e.g. traffic, public areas, cultural activities, concerts, events, secure leading of handicapped people inhouse and outbound.

Games for senior citizens are usually just XXL-versions of well-known board games. They are competitive: one winner, many losers. A well-known pattern for young players. But for patients of dementia, competitive actions mean stress and can be dramatically transferred to caring persons or family. I have developed a cooperative board game especially for this group to enhance social contacts and trust in others, to reminisce by-gone days, find emotional stability and, last but not least, share time and laughter with other players. Statistics show that the number of patients is enormous: in Germany 1.5 million, in Europe 7.6 million with numbers on the rise. That means that patients can be found in every culture and language.

There is a growing and concerning impact on children’s language development which is influenced by smartphones and digital technology. In our modern society digital distractions are reducing the frequency and quality of essential adult/child interactions. However, technology offers so much to society so we spent 2 years working on a city-wide project exploring all available evidence to find what works best in supporting essential early language development. The result was “Chatta”. The simple method has been widely adopted by schools, nurseries and families and is proving to be extremely powerful for a range of areas of learning including foreign language acquisition, special needs interventions and even supporting people with dementia.

The Common Study Program: Commons, Ruralities and Feminisms was born as an active listening space for the production and exchange of knowledge with a structure that translated experiences of government of the common, specifically of the communities of the Galician mountains, to a community of learning whose mission was to generate new narratives in the crossing of epistemic areas: commons, ruralities and feminisms. To get the crossing we facilitated an exchange of knowledge between spheres of knowledge that are traditionally unconnected: university, contemporary art and social movements. We have generated a critical space of learning about ways to live the rural; we have looked for genealogies of the women – subalternized historically – in the defence of the earth and we learnt ways of government of rural areas.

The multidisciplinary project CONTACT ZONES wants to create interaction between performing arts, urban spaces and people. It takes place in non-conventional spaces where it is possible to reach new and enlarged audiences. The project by performing arts – theatre/dance/music/contemporary circus/street art/video – has generated a conscious and sustainable use of the public areas, generating good practices. It proposed a series of international residencies, site-specific shows, workshops and symposia, all hosted in urban places where audiences could be naturally involved. CONTACT ZONES has involved 3 countries (IT/DE/UK), 4 cities, 4 festivals, 4 organizations. The audience development actions organized has offered the participants new points of view to reflect about the arts and cities.

CULTUREMAKERS is a cultural intelligence skill-developing project, empowering local and refugee youth from remote socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Greece, to create films that future-proof the internationalisation of European culture by fostering shared peacebuilding values across the region and steering communities away from radicalisation. CULTUREMAKERS future-proof the internationalisation profile of European culture by producing films showcasing local heritage & traditions, whilst simultaneously improving well-being, acquiring cultural intelligence skills and increasing their 21st century resilience. The films are distributed to cultural institutions, governments and representatives of the civil society, tackling shared challenges on the internationalisation of culture across the region.

The Future Architecture platform is an exchange and networking platform for architecture. It promotes cooperation between emerging professionals and architectural institutions in order to bring ideas about the future of architecture to the top of the architectural discourse and closer to a wider public. The platform organizes the European Architecture programme – a series of interconnected exhibitions, conferences, workshops, prototyping and publishing activities – which present emerging talents in architecture. Currently the platform has 21 member organisations from 16 countries. Members can be museums, festivals, publishers and producers that play a role in the local environment, serve as a source of architecture-related information and have the skills to create outstanding events.

H2arvester is an array of solar panels, assembled on a light weight structure and supported on wheels, randomly moving or on rails between the livestock, crops and across ditches. The solar energy can be processed into hydrogen (H2) and stored locally. The solution to convert the generated kWh directly into hydrogen ensures not just an autonomous functioning installation, but is also a solution for the need to balance the production and use of generated energy while ensuring no electricity network reinforcements. Because the solar power plant is mobile, it can be seen as one extra crop in rotational cultivation that many arable farmers use. The variant where the installation ‘creeps’ across the land is literally double use of agricultural land.

The ICCI project is a capacity building action for the Creative and Cultural sector, meaning both creative and cultural entrepreneurs, artists, operators and the intermediaries which are supporting them in business incubators, networks, associations etc.. The focus of the project is to support the CCI sector in developing internationalization competences starting from an analysis of the gaps they felt, developing a tailored training path delivered both locally and in a European training pilot (held in Matera), virtually with an online platform hosting a community of over 300 users that have the chance to learn individually, from peers, start projects, sell products in other European markets. The project has reached in only 2 years over 1,300 European creative minds that used its products.

KALKI [kόlki] is a collective which combines contemporary design with traditions, crafts and materials from Bangladesh. It’s a collaborative project founded by Studio Lunik in 2015 in Rome in Torpignattara, a multiethnic neighborhood with the largest Bangladeshi community in Italy. The work approaches self-production as social research, with a design language focused on plurality and equal exchange of stories, cultures, and traditions. KALKI redesigns everyday objects from Bangladesh, exploring the creative possibilities connected with their use in a different context. It is inspired by the Bengali culture. Combining Italian territorial crafts with traditions from Bangladesh, the project pursues a creative and productive ideal based on interactions and shared experiences.

Tanzrauschen together with the Wuppertal community have produced a series of five short dance films that depict Wuppertal with its many treasures and its diversity. Under the artistic direction of Jo Parkes Wuppertal, citizens and dancers, film makers and musicians developed these short dance films in five independent workshops in 2017. The nonprofessional performers were sensitised to work in creative processes, to teamwork, collaboration and media authority. The resulting quality of the short films was largely sustained by the commitment of each participant. Co-produced by Tanzrauschen (Wuppertal) and Mobile Dance (Berlin). “love pro toto“ is a wonderful online art project, a “social network” or, better yet, a “global social sculpture”. It is for everyone. No exceptions. In contrast to other “social networks”, it has a goal: a world full of love. Yes, it is a dream shared by all of humanity. From the beginning it will link the virtual world with the “real” world. New members create their project image, print it out and hang it in their homes. And those of their friends as well. After the construction of the virtual museum, the library, the concert hall etc. exhibitions, readings, and concerts in real life will follow. “love pro toto cafés” will become meeting points. “love pro toto” is a global cultural complex: a worldwide, unifying, artistic way of life.

With "Made in Wehringhausen" working and living resident fashion designer Chandra Prakash Jha sets a glamorous exclamation mark, to change the heedless handling of rubbish in the multicultural creative quarter "Wehringhausen" (in Hagen, Westfalen). Since the careless and illegal waste disposal is a current problem of Wehringhausen (as of many districts in the world) our motto was: From waste to fashion! By the power of RE/UP-Cycling! Therefore the team organised three workshops for kids and adults in September and a glorious fashion show in October 2018. The project will be continued with a documentary movie and a label called "made in wehringhausen" which makes GOTS certified fashion, which will be sold online, in a local shop and B2B. Profits will partly go to social institutions on site.

Since August 2017 Kaunas Biennial has been leading a 4 year-long (2017-2021) Creative Europe platform titled MAGIC CARPETS, which involves 13 cultural organisations from the EU and candidate countries. The platform is intended for traveling emerging artists who work in a socially engaged and responsible field of art (visual art, public art, community art, exhibitions, performances, documentary theatre, online art, etc.) to research and implement new productions together with local artists and local communities. MAGIC CARPETS is based on the sharing of experience and knowledge, hot and relevant European topics, such as nomadism, displacement, social uncertainty and the need for inclusiveness of cultural offerings, growing nationalism and populism and how culture can contribute to intercultural dialogue.

In August 2018, Peut-Porter realized a collaboration with Paraa. The project reflects on the role and social situation of women in Dhaka, engaging with the public through a day-long performance following a series of collaborative workshops. It took its starting point in looking at Bangladesh’s economic powerhouse - the ready made garments industry. A working class theatre, a chorus of costumes and masks, performances were presented by a diverse community across four public sites in Dhaka. Ten characters and enacted stories presented fierce everyday Bangla women from a cross-section of society who challenged and redefined the female identity –despite facing crisis, loss and maltreatments succeeding in their very own way.

NE5T is an online platform for effective knowledge art management in the complex environment of the art market. You can think of NEST as a web-enabled system for the management of art and the exchange of concepts, a platform where galleries, artists, curators and researchers can present work, enter into collaborative media experiments, and play with the meaning of media objects. The portal has advanced tools that serve to search and visualize direct and latent relations between people, groups, events, projects, places, institutions and fields of art and culture.

PUSH was a 2-year Creative Europe co-operation project involving five partners from Scotland, Belgium, Ireland, Norway and Denmark to ‘push’ and develop thinking, ideas and the art forms within theatre and dance for children and young people in Europe. It focused on the three themes of gender and sexual identity, (over)protection and migration. It entailed 3 artistic labs attended by 41 artists from the 5 partner countries, 3 PUSH two-day events at each lab for sector peers and the general public, 5 international festival visits for 56 artists from across the 5 partner countries, 5 PUSH two-day public presentations at the 5 partner festivals, a bespoke project website including resources around each topic, and the production of a series of professional films.

READY FOR RED is an innovative e-learning platform on the subject of menstruation, the female cycle and menstrual products. Its goal is to allow girls AND boys a self-determined and natural way to deal with menstruation. The game-based learning platform focusses on adolescents between 11 and 16 years, but also on teachers who are supposed to integrate READY FOR RED into their classes. In its pilot phase, READY FOR RED has already been tested with more than 2,000 youngsters in 53 school sessions. After each workshop, the students gave feedback on the platform through an anonymous online questionnaire: 80% of the students said they had learned something new and in addition, have developed a positive attitude towards menstruation. 65% want to continue using RFR outside of class.

Tada is an agency that provides technologic tools for artists to help them organize their daily life so they can be more focused on their creation. The relationship between an artist and his or her art is not just the ideation process and the creation, it is way more complicated and a lot of people, administration and documents are involved. Artists have specific needs in terms of life management. Moreover, the artworld demands a lot of networking, personalization, and adaptability in professional relationships. So how might we help artists? With a personal dashboard in which they can store, centralize and manage all their artistic life, from artworks to documents, contacts and sales with automatic transmission of accounting and social data to organisations in charge of recovery.

"The Borderline Project 2018. 8 border towns - 8 reporter teams - 6 languages". 100 years after Polish independence, young pan-European reporter teams report in cross-border multimedia features on Polish youth, their visions of the future, their relationship to the country's history and their relations with neighboring regions to deliver an authentic and multifaceted view of Poland and its role in Europe. Bi-national teams enable perspectives that break with stereotypes, the cross-media presentation (text, photo, video, data, social) provides creative access, multilingualism a broad target group. The Borderline project is translated into 6 languages and published as an independent storytelling project of the European magazine Cafébabel to promote European dialogue on Poland.

The Co-creation Navigator is an online platform that gives any organisation the agency to involve citizens and experts in their processes. It is based on an educational programme by Waag and is meant for change agents who want to facilitate a co-creative process. The Navigator guides users through tools, methods, and existing toolkits on hosting, design thinking and co-creation. It helps users to make relevant choices for their context, and to reflect on what they have learned. The Navigator is developed in co-creation with users across Europe.

The Degrowth Institute is an initiative with the aim of establishing emancipatory narratives in cities whose population has been steadily decreasing over the years. Our objective is to do so by establishing bottom-up, transversal, and horizontal approaches to master-planning in these territories. Our mission is to challenge the notion that suggests that growth - population in particular - is necessary when determining the success of a human settlement. The outcomes of the Degrowth Institute might range from an individual’s transformative experience upon taking part in the project to a group suggestion of guidelines, corrupting existing recommendations, or the collective abuse of a particular imposed strategy regarding the assessment and management of the heritage of a particular city.

Doing that, we look into themes, materials security, logistic, etc. to design the most appealing play spaces. The Freegees is an online platform which empowers collaborations for different causes in a meaningful and sustainable way. It aims to help artists displaced by war and conflict express themselves in an artistic way again, by connecting and collaborating with local cultural scenes. Unique 360° storytelling campaigns, which combine interdisciplinary forms of art, music, and technologies such as Artificial Intelligence, will expose the co-creations and help cultivating the existence of displaced artists as humans with creative skills who contribute to diverse societies. Through automated storytelling, we create empathy by giving insights about the struggle of refugee artists. The platform provides a way for everyone to contribute to good causes while getting a piece of art in return.

Our national project The White Night for Product Creators and Designers has been implemented so far in 4 cities in Romania: Bucureşti, Cluj Napoca, Timişoara and Iaşi. The event is by now an active and inspiring networking platform, dedicated to creative and talented people from all over Romania and beyond. Since the year 2012 we have had over 50,000 visitors, over 100,000 indirect beneficiaries through the digital material of the project and through the media data, over 100 exhibitors, over 700 products and ideas on display that have later become successful projects, over 200 media partners and funding from the Romanian Ministry of Culture, as well as other public sponsorships.

The 1969 Woodstock Music & Art Fair is a cultural beacon that represents, still, the positive power of love, hope and societal change. Through the W00dstock summits we aspire to re-spark the movement of the digital hippies, that will honour and spirit of the original festival for our current time. WIT Ruhr was founded in 2016 in Dortmund. We aim to create a strong network of attempts to empower women, inspire tech culture and reinvent workplaces in Dortmund and the Ruhr area. WIT Ruhr is an independent, self-organizing community, which, after two years of various activities, has more than 100 members. We raise awareness of gender parity and diversity in technology companies in the Ruhr area. We organize WIT-Ruhr events open for women and everyone who is interested in socialising and knowledge exchange. Our speakers are members of our professional network. ZAWP (Zorrozaurre Art Work in Progress) is a project created to address the meanwhile state produced while the urban development plan for a neighborhood of Bilbao is finished. It is a movement of many people working to regenerate an industrial area in decline through new opportunities based on culture, innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship. In 2015 ZAWP started to work in diverse international projects and networks to share its experience and place value on the ‘meanwhile’ concept of areas in urban and/or social transformation. The objectives are to make a different way of creating city and community visible, for the citizens and from the citizens through art, culture and creativity, and to address the transitory nature of areas in transformation; ZAWP talks about spaces and action.
