Klaas Werner (*1985 in Bremen) works as project manager at medienwerk.nrw – an alliance of North Rhine-Westphalian institutions involved in research, teaching, production, presentation and education activities relevant to media art and digital culture. The network organizes workshops, lectures and conferences, such as "Afro-Tech Fest" (October 2017 at Hartware MedienKunstVerein, Dortmund). He is also a member of the performance collective Anna Kpok that produces performative artworks at venues and festivals such as Ruhrtriennale, Ringlokschuppen.Ruhr, Theater Dortmund and FFT Düsseldorf. He has worked as a dramaturge and production manager for Mats Staub (CH), Bern Retour (CH) and in various positions for festivals including Theaterformen Hannover/Braunschweig, Theater der Welt and favoriten Festival. He has a master's degree in theatre studies from the Ruhr University Bochum.
