BARBARA ABEL | AUSTRIA

Vice President, creativ wirtschaft austria / Architect and Founder of Abel und Abel

Barbara Abel was born in 1985 in Klagenfurt am Wörthersee | Austria. After graduating from high school she studied architecture at the Carinthian University of Applied Sciences and at the Aarhus School of Architecture in Denmark. In 2009 she started to work with her husband Christoph Abel and they opened an architecture firm in their hometowns Klagenfurt in Carinthia and Strengberg in Lower Austria. Next to her work as an architect, Barbara Abel is member of LandLuft, an association which is engaged in “building culture at rural areas.” Since 2011 she is vice president of “creativ wirtschaft austria” the interest group for Creative Industries in Austria. In Klagenfurt, she developed the first CoWorking Space in Carinthia – Hafen11 and since this time, she is part of the interest group for Creative Economy in the capital city. www.abelundabel.at
