A cooperation project by the musicians Julius Gabriel, Jan Klare and Achim Zepezauer that represents a non-mainstream style of music.
All of the three musicians - Julius Gabriel and Jan Klare as About Angels and Animals, AAaA in short and Achim Zepezauer - are a member of the label Umland Records and represent a non-mainstream style of music that can be described as jazz-and-beyond.
An invitation from the registered association Makroscope e.V. was happily accepted to present their albums in a series of concerts for a series of concerts of non-mainstream music [Konzertreihe für abseitige Musik] rounding off with a performance. Makroscope sees itself as a social centre committed to an interdisciplinary and experimental approach to music and technology. Support is given here to artists taking innovative, experimental and interdisciplinary approaches to their work, with dialogue between art and technology being encouraged.
Although Makroscope offers an opportunity to perform, funding was absent. The Individual Support for Artists and Creative Minds therefore provided assistance for travel expenses, PR work and fees for the musicians.
