Duisburger Hofkonzerte

''Duisburger Hofkonzerte'' (courtyard concerts in Duisburg) – a project by art@work and Junges Ensemle Ruhr (JER) with creative minds from the diverse immigrant and refugee scenes in the region. They take place in the summer months as interactive open-air concerts in cooperation with neighbourhood management and initiatives in the districts. They want to build bridges between residents, neighbourhoods and urban society. They want to bring joy to people who feel marginalised and are not likely to participate in urban cultural life – multilingual and appreciative, with music, poetry and images that address their concerns and hopes, with campaigns that lead to encounters – with moments that make cultural diversity attractive and make our city a place worth staying at. Our theme is: ''I wanna be the player of my life!''
