For her work Aus Angst um das Schöne, Henriette Kriese took the attacks on refugee accommodation that have been happening since 2015, as a reason to travel across Germany in order to visit places where arson attacks have taken place. In this way, Henriette Kriese examines the German landscape using photos as metaphors as well as personal, fragmented text in considering the events that took place there and how she experiences them.
The project results can be seen as part of the FOLKWANG FINALE , the final presentation of the graduate works from the Folkwang University of Art.
