The Ruhr region is also attracting visitors from abroad. On 16 and 17 September, a group of master’s students from the University of Utrecht took a creative tour of discovery through the city of cities. Over the weekend, around 20 Dutch students of “Urban Geography” were able to gain inspiring insights to how things are being done in practice. During the 2-day visit to the Ruhr region, they became acquainted, among other things, with the Wanne Creative.Quarter and the creative happenings taking place there.
In addition to the "Hallenbad" – the newly established meeting point for Wanne’s creative minds – the students also visited the cultural mining centre “Unser Fritz”. The students were under the care of Stefanie Thomczyk, Evelyn Stober – both responsible for the "Hallenbad" project – and Stefanie Rogg from ecce who organised the contact between the university and the Creative.Quarter.
