ecce has been cooperating with the Forum d'Avignon and Bilbao Metropoli 30 to promote the joint transnational project CATALYSE for culture and creativity as a driver for urban development. Forum d'Avignon Ruhr 2012

On 8 and 9 March 2012 the first Forum d'Avignon Ruhr entitled “Creating Progress. Building Strategic Partnerships Between Culture and the Economy” took place in the SANAA building on the premises of Zollverein in Essen. 175 guests from 22 countries discussed the roles of art, culture and creativity in the age of globalised markets and digitalised networks. >> See project page

Forum d'Avignon ruhr 2013

The Forum d’Avignon 2013 took place at PACT Zollverein in Essen from 27 to 28 June. Under the motto “Europe 2020 – Culture is the Key”, 220 top representatives engaged in the economy, politics and culture from 15 countries dealt with spill-over effects from culture to other and social areas. >> See project page

Art for business!

“Art for Business!” is more than just bronze-cast status symbols and means of self-presentation in the marketing activities of large companies. The project “Arts in Economy!” wishes, with the help of artistic interventions, to find new perspectives for business challenges. The project took place from July till December 2014. >> See project page

LABKULTUR.TV is a European Online-Platform for culture and creativity. It shows blogs and videos on cities within the world of digital and social change, on the influence that culture has on city development and on the production and life situations of artists and creatives. >> See project page

spillover effects of culture and creative industries in the ruhr region

The study “Spillover Effects of Culture and Creative Industries in the Ruhr Region” published by ecce was carried out from January to June 2013. The study was based on one online survey and four Open Space events, the results of which were presented at the 2nd Forum d'Avignon Ruhr in Essen and further developed in Artistic Thinking workshops.
